About Me
Who I Am
I’m a retired IT executive re‑entering the industry as a programmer, with 37 years of experience in leadership and engineering. My focus now is on accessible, maintainable web design and modern programming practices, building a portfolio that reflects both my technical expertise and my commitment to inclusive design.
What Drives Me
I value clarity, accessibility, and long‑term maintainability in code. My systems‑thinking approach ensures that design decisions scale effectively and remain professional. I believe that technology should empower users of all abilities, and I integrate accessibility standards into every project I build.
Where I’m Headed
Currently studying C++, C#, web authoring, and accessibility standards, I’m expanding my portfolio with coursework and independent projects. I’m also refining my Git/GitHub workflow to model secure, intentional practices for students and recruiters. My goal is to secure a post‑retirement role that allows me to contribute hands‑on as a software engineer while continuing to mentor and share knowledge with others.
